Standing service

Keep your security answer library current as your policies change

Each month your security answers are checked against current policies, stale or contradictory ones flagged, and the unknown list updated. Questionnaire drafts are a separate job.

This starts a conversation by email. Nothing is charged, and nothing is reviewed, until we have agreed scope, access and terms with you in writing.

The responsibility you hand over

A security answer library goes stale the day a policy changes, and a stale answer is a false statement waiting to be sent. Nobody owns the job of checking answers against changed policies, so the library drifts. Customers then receive answers that no longer match what the company does.

Who it’s for: Founder or operations lead whose company answers security questionnaires several times a year.

Usually starts when: You built an answer library, a policy has changed since, and nobody has checked which answers are now wrong.

The result: Every month you get a short report that lists the answers whose source policy has changed or passed its review date, the contradictions between answers, and the questions still unknown. Each flagged answer has a proposed new wording from the changed policy, for your owner to approve.

What stays true, and what we do about it

No response-time guarantee is published for this new service. A target for delivering each report is agreed in writing before it starts, set to what a service at this stage can actually keep.

Runs once a month. Not staffed round the clock.

What must remain true

  • Every answer has a source, an owner and a review-by date that has not passed, or is flagged as stale
  • No answer rests on a policy version that has since changed without being flagged
  • Where two answers contradict, both are shown with their sources and nobody is told which is right

What we watch

  • The library
  • Your current policies and the month's change note
  • Questions that arrived since the last report

WhenWhat we do
A policy changes or passes its review date.We flag every answer that rests on it and propose new wording from the changed policy for the owner to approve.
A new questionnaire arrives. We offer the first-pass job for it at its listed price.
Linked job: Security questionnaire first draft
A question appears that the library cannot answer. We add it to the unknown list with a suggested owner.
Two answers contradict each other. We show both with their sources and ask the owner which is right; we never choose.

We do on our own

  • Compare answers with the current policies
  • Propose updated wording quoted from the policy
  • Update the unknown list

We ask you first

  • Any change to an approved answer
  • Any new topic area in the library
  • Starting a questionnaire draft

We escalate to you when

  • A policy now contradicts a claim already sent to a customer
  • The same answer is flagged stale two months running
  • The library owner leaves or cannot be reached

How you know it held. Each month you can open every flagged answer and see the old source, the changed policy text and the proposed wording side by side.

How we keep it true

This service is never finished. Each period's summary shows whether the thing it watches stayed true, and it continues until you end it.

  1. Get a reusable library of security answers built from your own policies Job Optional

A sheet of 50 to 150 question-and-answer pairs covering the usual security questions. Each answer cites your policy page or an owner's written confirmation, and gaps are listed, not filled.

    Bought separately, once

The one-off job that builds the library this service keeps current.

  2. Get a security questionnaire drafted only from your own approved answers Job Optional

A customer's security questionnaire returned in their format as a first draft. Every answer cites your own approved answer or policy, and anything unsupported is left blank for a named person.

    Bought separately, each time

A first draft of one questionnaire from the library, at its listed price.

What is included, and what is not

  • A monthly report of flagged answers and proposed updates
  • The updated library once your owner approves
  • The updated unknown list

Included

  • One answer library of up to 150 pairs, kept in a sheet or the tool you already use
  • A monthly check of every answer against the current policy it cites
  • A proposed update for each flagged answer, quoted from the changed policy
  • The unknown list updated with new questions and a suggested owner for each
  • Scripts do the comparisons; the language model drafts the proposed wording from your policy text

Not included

  • Writing new policies or controls
  • Sending any answer to anyone
  • Judging whether your policies are good enough
  • Drafting a questionnaire (a separate job at its listed price)
  • Any promise of a certification, a pass or an audit result: the assessor or auditor decides

How we know it’s done

Agreed with you before work starts. Each check produces evidence you keep.

  1. Of 10 policy changes planted by a separate automated checker in a copy of your policies and held back from the builder until the test run, all 10 flag the answers that rest on them. A pass at 10 of 10 is a smoke test, not a rate.

Evidence: The planted changes beside the flagged answers.

  2. Each month every answer has a source, an owner and a review-by date, or is flagged, and the count of answers checked equals the library size.

Evidence: The report totals and the library row count.

  3. No proposed wording contains a claim that is not in the changed policy text.

Evidence: Each proposal read beside its source quote.

Sign-off. You read each report and approve or refuse the proposed updates. A month counts as delivered when you have received the report.

If it fails. If we cannot complete a period because an export is missing or has changed, we say so, explain what we need and do not guess. If the service is not working for you, you can end it at the end of any month.

When it fits, and when we stop

It fits when

  • You have a library with sources, for example from the answer-library job
  • A named owner approves each change and sends us the month's policy changes
  • Policies are available as text

We stop and tell you if

  • You have no written policies for us to check against
  • No one on your side will approve changes
  • You want us to decide which of two contradicting answers is right

What could go wrong

The service only reads and reports, so there is nothing to undo. Ending it leaves your systems exactly as they are; you keep every report we sent.

Scroll the table sideways to read it all.

RiskHow we handle it
A stale answer is not caughtEvery answer is checked against its cited policy each month, and the report states how many were checked.
A proposed update overstates what you doProposals are quoted from the policy text only. If the policy does not support a claim, the answer is flagged unknown.
Your files pass through an AI model providerThe written agreement names the provider type, its country and how long it keeps data before you send anything. Entry jobs use redacted or synthetic copies, or your own provider account if you prefer. We delete our copies when the job ends.

A separate automated reviewer checks each flag and proposed update against its policy text before it is sent. Your owner approves or refuses every proposed update. No human supervisor is included unless your agreement names one, and at launch the work is largely automated.

Stays with a person

  • Your owner approves every change to an answer
  • You decide what is sent to customers

Access we would need

  • Redacted copies of the library and policies, sent by an agreed secure route
  • No access to any of your systems

Questions

Do you write the questionnaire answers each month?

No. This service keeps the library right. A questionnaire draft is a separate job at its listed price.

What if two answers disagree?

We show both with their sources and ask your owner. We never pick one.

Do you need the library from us, or from you?

Yes. Buy the library job first, or bring one that already has sources.
