Standing service

Get suggested edits to every new contract, from your own wording, each month

Each month, up to five new contracts come back as tracked-changes copies with edits taken word for word from your clause bank. Your lawyer accepts or rejects each change.

This starts a conversation by email. Nothing is charged, and nothing is run, until we have agreed scope, access and terms with you in writing.

The responsibility you hand over

Positions and clause banks change, and a bank reused without checking can insert a clause your lawyer has since replaced. Each month's contracts differ, so the same tests have to be re-run with the current bank. The monthly job is the same edits from the current bank, re-tested.

Who it’s for: Operations lead or founder who receives a few contracts every month and wants your lawyer to see them already marked against your positions.

Usually starts when: The first batch worked, and next month's contracts are already in the inbox.

The result: Each month you receive up to five tracked-changes contracts using your current clause bank, a word-for-word check of every insertion, and the frozen regression-test results. When the bank or positions change, you hold back 20 new labelled cases until acceptance; all must pass with no severe error.

What stays true, and what we do about it

No response-time guarantee is published for this new service. A target for delivering each month's report is agreed in writing before it starts, set to what a service at this stage can keep.

Hours are agreed in writing before the service starts. At launch the service is not staffed round the clock and runs once each month.

What must remain true

  • Every word inserted by an edit appears in the current clause bank, word for word
  • Rejecting all changes in a copy returns the original text exactly
  • Where the bank has no clause, the copy carries a note and no edit

What we watch

  • Each month's redacted Word contracts
  • Your positions list and clause bank, with version dates
  • The frozen regression test and fresh buyer-held cases after bank or position changes

WhenWhat we do
A month's contracts arrive. We edit from the current bank, run the word-for-word and reject-all checks, then send the copies.
Your positions or clause bank change. We rerun the frozen regression test and the 20 fresh buyer-held cases with the new bank before the changed workflow is accepted.
Linked job: Contract edits for your lawyer
An inserted word is found that is not in the bank. The copy is withheld and the failure is reported first.

We do on our own

  • Compare contracts with your positions and insert bank clauses as tracked changes
  • Run the checks and write the report
  • Offer the one-off job when positions change

We ask you first

  • Any new clause in the bank or change to a position
  • Any change to a pass mark or severe-error list
  • Any request to write wording that is not in the bank

We escalate to you when

  • A word-for-word check fails
  • Reject-all does not return the original
  • The same failure appears two months running

How you know it held. Each month the report states contracts edited, edits made, notes with no edit, word-for-word and reject-all results on every copy, and the frozen regression result. After any bank or position change it also includes the 20 fresh held-back cases and their results.

How we keep it true

This service is never finished. Each month's report shows whether the thing it watches stayed true, and it continues until you end it.

  1. Get suggested contract edits from your own approved wording, for your lawyer to decide Job Optional

Each contract comes back as a tracked-changes copy where a clause differs from your written positions, with an edit taken word for word from your own clause bank. Your lawyer accepts or rejects each.

Bought separately, each time it is needed; not part of the monthly fee

What is included, and what is not

  • Monthly tracked-changes copies
  • Edit and note list
  • Check output
  • Monthly regression report and fresh-case report when the bank or positions change

Included

  • Up to 5 Word contracts a month and your current positions and clause bank
  • Tracked changes on flagged clauses only, using bank wording word for word
  • A word-for-word check of every insertion and a reject-all check of every copy
  • The frozen regression test re-run every month, plus 20 new buyer-held labelled cases when the bank or positions change

Not included

  • Writing any wording that is not in your bank
  • Legal advice, or saying whether to sign
  • Accepting changes, sending, negotiating or signing
  • Any response-time guarantee or out-of-hours cover

How we know it’s done

Agreed with you before work starts. Each check produces evidence you keep.

  1. Every word inserted in every copy appears in the current clause bank, word for word. One invented word fails the month.

    Evidence: The script output.

  2. In every copy, rejecting all changes returns the original text exactly.

Evidence: Text comparisons and checksums of the originals.

  3. Each month the frozen test pack is re-run and every previously passing case still meets its agreed check. A regression fails this check even if reported, and the report lists it first with its cause.

    Evidence: The monthly test report.

  4. Nothing was written to any live system by us, and originals are unchanged (checksums match).

Evidence: Checksums before and after, and your own audit trail.

  5. Before any changed workflow is accepted, you supply 20 new labelled cases, held back from us until the test run, including severe-error cases from the matching one-off test. All 20 must meet their labels and no severe error may occur; we return the case file, results and rerun steps. This is a smoke test on those cases, not a future-rate claim.

Evidence: Your lawyer's withheld labels, all 20 outputs and the rerun steps.

Sign-off. You read the report and test results and accept or send them back in writing. A month counts as delivered only when its agreed acceptance checks pass; receiving a report alone is not acceptance.

If it fails. If we cannot run a month because an input is missing or has changed shape, we say so, explain what we need and do not guess. If the service is not working for you, you can end it at the end of any month.

When it fits, and when we stop

It fits when

  • The matching one-off job's conditions hold for your material
  • Each month's contracts arrive as redacted Word copies by the agreed secure route
  • A lawyer or named owner who accepts or rejects every change

We stop and tell you if

  • You ask us to write wording that is not in your bank
  • Nobody on your side reads the monthly copies for two months running
  • Positions change without a new clause bank

What could go wrong

The service reads, tests and reports. Ending it leaves your systems and the way you work exactly as they are, and you keep every report we sent.

RiskHow we handle it
A retired clause stays in the bank and is inserted. Each month starts from the bank version you confirm, and the report names it.
The copies are read as legal advice.Every copy says it carries suggestions from your own positions and bank. Your lawyer decides.
Text inside a document, record or message tries to give the automation instructions. All input text is data. The automation has no tool to send, approve, file or change anything beyond what is listed here, and planted-instruction items must change nothing.
Real documents or records pass through a model provider.First tests use invented, synthetic or redacted data. Real data moves only after a written agreement names the model provider, its country, how long it keeps data and whether it trains on it.

A separate automated reviewer checks each month's report against the agreed test before it is sent, and your named person decides what to do with it. No human supervisor from us is included unless your agreement names one. At launch the work is largely automated, and we say so.

Stays with a person

  • Your lawyer or named owner accepts or rejects every change
  • You decide whether to sign and send

Access we would need

  • Redacted Word copies sent through a secure route agreed in writing
  • No login, key or write access to any system

Questions

Do you write wording for gaps in my bank?

No. The copy carries a note and your lawyer drafts what is missing.

What if I send more than five contracts?

The extra ones are quoted separately or wait for next month.

Send an enquiry

Send us

  • How many contracts you expect each month and which kinds
  • Who receives the copies. No real contracts in the first enquiry

Later, once you agree

  • The first month's contracts through a secure route agreed in writing
  • Your current positions and clause bank, with a version date
  • The frozen regression set and pass marks; 20 new labelled cases held back by your lawyer until the run whenever the bank or positions change

You keep the contracts, the positions, the bank and every decision. We work on redacted copies sent through a secure route agreed in writing, never ask for passwords or keys in the first enquiry, and never contact the other party. Our copies are deleted, in writing, when the job ends.
