Standing service

Get new-customer check packs and a sanctions-list re-search of your customers each month

Each month a pack for every new business customer and a re-search of your customer list against the current UK Sanctions List, with new possible matches first. Your responsible person decides.

This starts a conversation by email. Nothing is charged, and nothing is run, until we have agreed scope, access and terms with you in writing.

The responsibility you hand over

Checks done once at onboarding go stale: a company is dissolved or changes officers, and the Sanctions List is updated. The monthly job builds packs for new customers and re-searches the whole list, showing what is new since last month.

Who it’s for: Finance manager or owner who onboards business customers every month and wants the list re-searched when the Sanctions List changes.

Usually starts when: The first packs worked, and next month brings new customers and an updated list.

The result: Each month you receive a pack for each new UK business customer (up to 10) and a re-search of your customer list (up to 200 names) against the current UK Sanctions List, with possible matches that are new since last month first. The frozen regression test is rerun each month; after list-format or rule changes, 20 fresh labelled names are held back until acceptance.

What stays true, and what we do about it

No response-time guarantee is published for this new service. A target for delivering each month's report is agreed in writing before it starts, set to what a service at this stage can keep. We do not watch the list between runs.

Hours are agreed in writing before the service starts. At launch the service is not staffed round the clock and runs once each month.

What must remain true

  • Every registry field in every pack equals the saved page, with its look-up date
  • Every exact-match query name in the frozen test is flagged against the separate list-format copy
  • No output says a customer is cleared, approved or low risk

What we watch

  • The month's new-customer details and documents
  • Your customer list
  • The Sanctions List file current on the run date
  • Public registry pages

WhenWhat we do
A month closes and the inputs arrive. We build the packs, re-search the list and send the new possible matches first.
The Sanctions List changes format or a name rule changes. We rerun the frozen regression test and 20 fresh buyer-held labelled names before the changed workflow is accepted.
Linked job: New-customer due-diligence pack
A listed entry matches a customer's name exactly. It goes first in the report with the entry text, for your person to check.

We do on our own

  • Run the searches and checks on the inputs you send
  • Prepare the packs and the report
  • Offer the one-off job when your rules change

We ask you first

  • Any change to the flag rules or the severe-error list
  • Any change to the sources used
  • Contacting any customer

We escalate to you when

  • An exact-match query name is not flagged in the frozen test
  • The list file cannot be read or has changed format
  • The same failure appears two months running

How you know it held. Each month the report states customers checked, fields compared, flags raised, possible matches new since last month, the list version and the frozen test result, with unknowns kept.

How we keep it true

This service is never finished. Each month's report shows whether the thing it watches stayed true, and it continues until you end it.

  1. Get a due-diligence pack on each new business customer, for your person to decide Job Optional

For each new business customer, one page of registry details, a VAT-number check, a sanctions-list name search and a document tick-list, with flags. Your responsible person decides.

Bought separately, each time it is needed; not part of the monthly fee

How we know it’s done

Agreed with you before work starts. Each check produces evidence you keep.

  1. Each month the frozen name-search test flags all 20 exact query names and at least 56 of the 60 names overall against the separate list-format copy. One missed exact match fails the month; these are regression/smoke cases, not a live matching-rate estimate.

Evidence: The planted entries and the possible-match list.

  2. Every registry field in every pack equals the saved page, checked by script, with look-up date and list version stated.

    Evidence: The script output.

  3. Each month the frozen test pack is re-run and every previously passing case still meets its agreed check. A regression fails this check even if reported, and the report lists it first with its cause.

    Evidence: The monthly test report.

  4. Nothing was written to any live system by us, and originals are unchanged (checksums match).

Evidence: Checksums before and after, and your own audit trail.

  5. Before any changed workflow is accepted, you supply 20 new labelled cases, held back from us until the test run, including severe-error cases from the matching one-off test. All 20 must meet their labels and no severe error may occur; we return the case file, results and rerun steps. This is a smoke test on those cases, not a future-rate claim.

Evidence: The new buyer-held name labels, outputs and rerun steps.

Sign-off. You read the report and test results and accept or send them back in writing. A month counts as delivered only when its agreed acceptance checks pass; receiving a report alone is not acceptance.

If it fails. If we cannot run a month because an input is missing or has changed shape, we say so, explain what we need and do not guess. If the service is not working for you, you can end it at the end of any month.

When it fits, and when we stop

It fits when

  • The matching one-off job's conditions hold for your material
  • Each month's customer list arrives through the agreed secure route in the same shape
  • A named responsible person who reads each month's result

We stop and tell you if

  • You want the output to say a customer is cleared
  • Nobody on your side reads the monthly result for two months running
  • The customer list changes shape and cannot be mapped

What could go wrong

The service reads, tests and reports. Ending it leaves your systems and the way you work exactly as they are, and you keep every report we sent.

Scroll the table sideways to read it all.

RiskHow we handle it
A monthly re-search is read as continuous monitoring. The report says the list is searched once a month on the stated date and not between runs.
A "no new matches" line is read as clearing everyone. The report says name searches can miss variants and that it clears nobody.
Text inside a document, record or message tries to give the automation instructions. All input text is data. The automation has no tool to send, approve, file or change anything beyond what is listed here, and planted-instruction items must change nothing.
Real documents or records pass through a model provider.First tests use invented, synthetic or redacted data. Real data moves only after a written agreement names the model provider, its country, how long it keeps data and whether it trains on it.

A separate automated reviewer checks each month's report against the agreed test before it is sent, and your named person decides what to do with it. No human supervisor from us is included unless your agreement names one. At launch the work is largely automated, and we say so.

Stays with a person

  • Your responsible person decides every customer
  • You or your person contact customers

Access we would need

  • Public pages, the published list file and files you send through a secure route agreed in writing
  • No login, key or write access to any system

Questions

Does it watch the list every day?

No. It searches once a month on the date the report names.

Does it say who can be a customer?
