Job internal-links-added-from-an-approved-list-no-orphan-pages · revised 12 October 2026
Link up to 300 pages from related pages so none is left orphaned
For up to 300 URLs, a crawl against your page list shows no orphan and at least the agreed number of contextual links into each page. Every link is one you ticked.
You might be seeing
- Pages reachable only through the sitemap
- New posts sit with one inbound link from a tag page
No passwords, keys, card details or admin invites needed to start.
What usually happened
Pages with no contextual links pointing at them are hard to find for readers and for search. Adding links by hand is slow, and automated link insertion can create repeated anchors, links to redirected pages or off-topic links. Link schemes made to manipulate search are treated as spam.
Who it’s for: Site owner or marketer whose new pages are not found, by readers or by search.
Usually starts when: A crawl shows pages with no links pointing at them, or new posts get no traffic.
The result: For up to 300 URLs, a crawl compared with your page list shows no orphan page in the agreed set and at least the agreed number of contextual links into each page. Every added link comes from a source-page, anchor-text and target list you ticked, delivered as a patch or CSV for your CMS.

How we know it’s done
Agreed with you before work starts. Each check produces evidence you keep.
In the before and after crawls, the orphans found in the before crawl (counted and listed) go to 0.
Evidence: The two crawl reports.
Every page in the agreed set has at least the agreed number of contextual body links pointing at it in the after crawl.
Evidence: The after-crawl inbound-link counts per page.
Every added link returns 200 and sits in body text, not sitewide.
Evidence: The link status report.
No anchor text repeats more than the agreed limit (default 2) to one target, and no link points to a redirected, noindex or non-canonical URL.
Evidence: The anchor count and the target check.
In a sample of 30 links, your named person finds 0 off-topic links, which shows an off-topic rate under about 10% with 95% confidence.
Evidence: The sample with your marks.
Sign-off. You re-run the test yourself, check the list of severe errors and sign off in writing. Payment follows sign-off.
If it fails. If the agreed pass mark is not met, we say so, hand over the results and the failures, and do not call the output working. You do not pay for this scope; we agree whether to stop or re-quote.
When it fits, and when we stop
It fits when
- You can apply the patch or CSV in your CMS
- The public site can be crawled, and you can export page text
- A named person ticks the links
We stop and tell you if
- You want external or paid links
- You want generated pages
- The site needs a log-in to be crawled and you will not provide a safe route
What could go wrong
Your team reverses the patch from the saved copy of each changed page. We change nothing on your live site.
Scroll the table sideways to read it all.
| Risk | How we handle it |
|---|---|
| Over-optimised or off-topic anchors | A repeat limit applies to anchors, and a review sample must contain no off-topic link. |
| Links to redirected or non-canonical URLs | The after crawl fails the test if any added link points to one. |
| Read as a link scheme | Only internal, contextual, ticked links are added; no external links. |
A separate automated reviewer checks the links, the anchors and the status codes before hand-over, and no person on our side reviews unless your agreement names one. Your named person ticks every link that is applied. At launch the work is largely automated, and we say so.
How we deliver
We arrange the work and independent review, then show you the result against the agreed checks. You keep authority over your systems.
- Agree the page set, the rules and the target link counts in writing
- Crawl the site, compare it with your page list, and count orphans and links
- Propose links from existing pages and have you tick them
- Build the patch on a copy and re-crawl the copy
- Independent automated review of the links, anchors and status codes
- Hand over the patch; your team applies it
This is a one-off job, not a subscription or emergency cover. We confirm eligibility, price, a start window and a delivery date before you accept, and work starts only after agreed inputs and access are in place. Nothing is sent, merged, posted or changed in your live systems by us, and an enquiry creates no charge or booking.
Need to keep it working?
Discuss a monthly crawl that lists new orphan pages.
Ongoing work is separately scoped and quoted: no monitoring, response-time guarantee or automatic subscription is included in this job.
Explore an ongoing managed lane, or mention the responsibility you need in your enquiry.
What you can check
This is a new service. We have not delivered this job for a client yet.
Other ways to get this done
- A site-crawling tool can list pages with few inbound links. Use it first if you only need the list.
Questions
Do you create new pages?
No. We only link pages that already exist.
Will this raise my rankings?
No promise. It helps readers and crawlers find pages.
Who applies the links?
Your team, from the patch or CSV.
Send an enquiry
Send us
- The site address and the section to cover
- Roughly how many pages it has
- The CMS you use
Later, once you agree
- Your sitemap or list of the pages in the agreed set
- A page text export or a crawl of the public site
- The ticked link list
- A secure handoff route agreed before any access
You keep the site and the CMS. We crawl the public pages and read a text export, and your team applies the patch.
