Job content-refresh-candidates-from-search-console-data · revised 12 October 2026

See which pages are losing traffic and what to do with each

A list of pages whose clicks or impressions fell, with query-level evidence, pairs of pages competing for one query, and one proposed action each. We publish nothing.

You might be seeing

  • Clicks fell and the cause is a guess
  • Two pages seem to compete for the same search

No passwords, keys, card details or admin invites needed to start.

What usually happened

Search traffic decays page by page. The data is in the Search Console export, but reading thousands of rows for what changed is slow, and acting on a hunch can delete or merge pages that were fine. Mass new pages made to fix it can be treated as spam.

Who it’s for: Owner or marketer of a site with service pages and a blog.

Usually starts when: Traffic has slipped and nobody can say which pages, or what to do about them.

The result: You receive a list of pages whose clicks or impressions fell, with query-level evidence, pairs of pages competing for the same query, and one proposed action each (refresh, merge, redirect or leave). We publish nothing.

What you get

  • The decaying-pages list with evidence
  • The competing-pairs list
  • The action per page
  • The reconciliation of pages analysed to export rows

Included

  • One site and at least six months of Search Console export
  • Pages with a fall in clicks or impressions, and the queries behind it
  • Pairs of pages that rank for the same query
  • One proposed action per page, citing the query data
  • A check of each listed URL's status code and indexability, with any failure flagged at the top

Not included

  • Writing or publishing any page
  • A ranking or traffic promise
  • Bulk pages made for search
  • Backlink or paid-link work
  • Data other than the Search Console export

How we know it’s done

Agreed with you before work starts. Each check produces evidence you keep.

  1. Your named person recomputes the change for 20 listed pages they choose from the export and finds 0 mismatches, which shows a mismatch rate under about 14% with 95% confidence.

Evidence: The 20 recomputed values and your person's marks.

  2. Every competing pair shows two or more pages ranking for the same query in the export.

Evidence: The pair list with the query rows.

  3. Every listed URL has its status code and indexability checked and shown, any URL that does not return 200 or is not indexable is flagged at the top of the list, and each action cites query data.

Evidence: The status check and the action column.

  4. The number of pages analysed equals the number of rows in the export, after the stated exclusions.

    Evidence: The count reconciliation.

Sign-off. You re-run the test yourself, check the list of severe errors and sign off in writing. Payment follows sign-off.

If it fails. If the agreed pass mark is not met, we say so, hand over the results and the failures, and do not call the output working. You do not pay for this scope; we agree whether to stop or re-quote.

When it fits, and when we stop

It fits when

  • At least six months of Search Console data
  • A named person decides what to do with each page
  • The export holds no personal data

We stop and tell you if

  • You want bulk pages written and published by us
  • You want a ranking promise
  • The site has been removed from search for a manual action

What could go wrong

The job reads an export and writes a report, so there is nothing to undo.

Scroll the table sideways to read it all.

RiskHow we handle it
A hunch turns into a deletionEach action cites query data, and "leave" is a valid action.
The report is read as a ranking promiseIt says plainly that no ranking is promised.
AI is used to flood the site with pagesWe publish no page and stop if you want bulk pages written.

A separate automated reviewer checks the recomputed changes and the URL status checks before hand-over, and no person on our side reviews unless your agreement names one. Your named person decides what to do with each page. At launch the work is largely automated, and we say so.

How we deliver

We arrange the work and independent review, then show you the result against the agreed checks. You keep authority over your systems.

  • Agree the comparison periods, the thresholds and the action list
  • Receive the Search Console export by the agreed route
  • Compare the periods and list pages with a fall, with their queries
  • Find pairs of pages ranking for the same query and propose one action each
  • Independent automated recomputation of 20 pages and a status check of every URL
  • Hand over the lists for your person to decide

This is a one-off job, not a subscription or emergency cover. We confirm eligibility, price, a start window and a delivery date before you accept, and work starts only after agreed inputs and access are in place. Nothing is sent, merged, posted or changed in your live systems by us, and an enquiry creates no charge or booking.

Need to keep it working?

Discuss a monthly list of pages that lost traffic.

Ongoing work is separately scoped and quoted: no monitoring, response-time guarantee or automatic subscription is included in this job.

Explore an ongoing managed lane, or mention the responsibility you need in your enquiry.

What you can check

This is a new service. We have not delivered this job for a client yet.

Other ways to get this done

  • Search Console's own performance report lets you compare two date ranges page by page. For a small site that may be enough.

Questions

Will it improve my ranking?

No promise. It shows which pages fell and proposes what to look at.

Do you write content?

No. We publish nothing.

Does it use AI?

A model may help describe query patterns. The numbers are recomputed from the export and checked.

Send an enquiry

Send us

  • The site address and the pages that matter most
  • When traffic started to fall, if known
  • Who decides about content changes

Later, once you agree

  • A Search Console export you generate, with queries and pages
  • A crawl list of the public site, if you have one
  • A secure handoff route agreed before the export is shared

You keep Search Console and the site. We read an export you generate and the public site, and we change nothing.

A public HTTPS link only, without login details, query strings or fragments. No code or logs.

Sending emails your enquiry and contact address to our team through our mail provider (Resend). It is not kept in a website database. Do not send passwords, keys, recovery links, confidential code or customer records. Your contact email is unverified; nothing is ordered, charged or reserved. Privacy notice.

Email fallback: open your mail app

If website submission is unavailable, review and send the fallback email yourself. An email fallback is not a website receipt. Or write to hello@syntheticindustry.ai with “content-refresh-candidates-from-search-console-data” as the subject.
