Lay job applications out against your listed criteria, with quotes, for your recruiter

For one role, each application laid out against the criteria in your job advert, with a quote for each criterion or the words not stated, and no scores, ranking or filtering.

You might be seeing

  • Each application has the same facts in a different order
  • The first ones read get the most attention

No passwords, keys, card details or admin invites needed to start.

What usually happened

Applications arrive as different documents with the same facts in different places, so a reader skims and treats the first ones best. Tools that score or rank people are a regulated use and have been found to over-collect data.

Who it’s for: Hiring manager with a pile of applications for one role and no time to find the same facts in each.

Usually starts when: Eighty applications arrived for one job and each lists the same facts in a different place and format.

The result: For one role you receive a sheet with one row per application and one column per criterion in your advert. Each cell holds a quote from the application or the words 'not stated'. Rows are in the order received, and nobody is scored, ranked, filtered out or described.

Answer these without sending files, logins or personal data. Nothing is submitted unless you choose to contact us.

What should the sheet do for your recruiter?
Are the criteria stated in your advert and checkable from the text?
Can names, contact details and photos be removed before the applications are sent?

What you get

  • The criteria sheet
  • The source index
  • A list of applications we could not read
  • The synthetic test result

Included

  • One role and up to 100 applications, with names, contact details, photos and dates of birth replaced by codes before sending
  • Up to 8 criteria taken word for word from your job advert, each checkable from the text
  • A cell per criterion: a quote with its page or a not-stated marker
  • A source index for every quote
  • A synthetic test of 20 applications and 5 criteria

Not included

  • Scores, rankings, fit summaries or ratings
  • Rejecting, shortlisting or filtering any applicant
  • Inferring age, gender, ethnicity or any trait
  • Reading photos or social media
  • Contacting any applicant
  • Treating a not-stated cell as a rejection

How we know it’s done

Agreed with you before work starts. Each check produces evidence you keep.

  1. On 20 synthetic applications and 5 criteria (100 cells) with facts and gaps that your recruiter plants, at least 96 cells hold the correct quote or a correct not-stated marker.

Evidence: The planted answers beside the sheet.

  2. Every quote in the real sheet appears word for word in its source application, and one invented or altered quote fails the whole test.

Evidence: The source index, checked on a 20% sample of at least 20 cells by your recruiter.

  3. No cell holds an inferred trait, and the sheet has no score, rank, rating, order or recommendation.

Evidence: A search of the sheet columns and your recruiter's read of the sample.

Sign-off. Your recruiter checks the sample and signs off in writing. The sheet is an aid for reading and decides nothing, and the 100-cell test on 20 applications is a smoke test, not a measured rate. Payment follows sign-off.

If it fails. If a test is not met, you do not pay for this fixed scope. We hand over what we found and agree whether to stop or re-quote.

When it fits, and when we stop

It fits when

  • Your criteria are in your advert and checkable from an application, such as a qualification or years in a role
  • Your recruiter reads every application in full, using the sheet only as a guide
  • Applicants were told that suppliers may process their applications, as your privacy notice requires
  • Names, contact details, photos and dates of birth are removed by you before sending

We stop and tell you if

  • Anyone asks us to score, rank, filter, shortlist or summarise fit
  • A criterion refers to a protected characteristic or needs a judgement about the person
  • The applications cannot be sent with names and contact details removed

What could go wrong

This job reads files you send and writes a report. It changes nothing in your systems, so there is nothing to revert. Our copies of your files are deleted when the job ends.

Scroll the table sideways to read it all.

RiskHow we handle it
Laying applications out is treated as analysing or filtering applications, a use the EU AI Act lists as high risk. The sheet has no score, order or filter, a person reads every application in full, and whether the use is allowed is for your adviser. We stop the job if asked to screen.
The sheet is used to rank or screen people. It has no scores or order, we refuse requests for them, and your recruiter must read every application in full.
A quote is invented or taken out of context.Every quote must appear in the application text; one invented quote fails the whole test.
A not-stated marker hides a fact written in an unusual place. Not stated means not found in the text we read. The test counts misses, and the recruiter reads the full application.
Applications hold personal data or protected characteristics.Names, contacts and photos are removed before sending, and the data path is written into the agreement first.

A separate automated reviewer checks every output against the agreed test before hand-over. No person on our side reviews unless your agreement names one. Your named recruiter approves what is used.

How we deliver

We arrange the work and independent review, then show you the result against the agreed checks. You keep authority over your systems.

  • Agree the criteria word for word and the coding of applicants
  • Test on 20 synthetic applications with planted facts and gaps
  • Place a quote or a not-stated marker in every cell for the real applications
  • Keep rows in the order received; add no score or order
  • Separate automated review that every quote appears in its source
  • Hand over the sheet and source index; delete our copies

This is a one-off job, not emergency cover or a subscription. We confirm eligibility, the total price, a start window and a delivery date before you accept, and an enquiry creates no charge or booking. Work starts only after agreed inputs, secure access and any needed permissions are in place.

Need to keep it working?

Discuss the same sheet for the next role you advertise.

Ongoing work is separately scoped and quoted: no monitoring, response-time guarantee or automatic subscription is included in this job.

Explore an ongoing managed lane, or mention the responsibility you need in your enquiry.

What you can check

This is a new service. We have not delivered this job for a client yet.

Other ways to get this done

  • Give each reader the same scorecard of your criteria and ask them to fill it in as they read. It needs no tool and works if everyone uses it.
  • If your applicant tracking system collects the same answers through application questions, use those instead.

Questions

Does it pick the best candidates?

No. It does not score, rank, shortlist or describe anyone, and we stop the job if asked to.

Why do you remove names and photos?

We do not need them for the job, and tools that infer traits from names have been criticised by the data protection regulator.

Whose decision is the hire?

Yours. The recruiter reads every application in full.

Send an enquiry

Send us

  • The role and your advert's criteria, as text
  • How many applications and in what format
  • Whether applicants were told about supplier processing

Later, once you agree

  • The applications with names, contact details, photos and dates of birth removed and a code added, through an agreed secure route
  • The final criteria list, word for word from the advert
  • The 20 synthetic applications, with the planted answers kept by your recruiter until the test run
  • The name of the recruiter who checks the sheet
  • The agreement that names the model provider, its country and how long it keeps data, settled before any real personal data is shared

You keep every application and make every hiring decision. We receive coded copies, return a sheet and delete our copies when the job ends. You remove names, contact details, photos and dates of birth before sending, and we return any file where they remain.

A public HTTPS link only, without login details, query strings or fragments. No code or logs.

Sending emails your enquiry and contact address to our team through our mail provider (Resend). It is not kept in a website database.
