Job store-ai-shopping-facts-match-across-page-feed-catalog · revised 12 October 2026
Check that your top 25 products show the same price, stock and return terms in four places
For 25 products, price, stock status, variants, key specs and shipping and return terms are compared across your page, structured data, product feed and Shopify catalogue entry on a stated date.
You might be seeing
- An AI shopping answer shows a price or stock status you do not recognise
- Your page and your feed disagree on a variant
No passwords, keys, card details or admin invites needed to start.
What usually happened
A product's facts live in several places: the page, its structured data, the product feed and the catalogue copies that other platforms read. When they disagree, a wrong price or a sold-out item shown as available can reach customers through any of them. Finding which copy is wrong usually takes tracing a value forward from the source.
Who it’s for: Owner of a store whose products appear in shopping feeds and AI shopping tools and who wants the same facts everywhere.
Usually starts when: Someone showed you an AI answer with the wrong price or a sold-out item shown as available, and you do not know where the wrong value came from.
The result: For 25 products you pick, you get a table of price, stock status, variants, key specs and shipping and return terms across four places on a stated date. Each difference is listed with its likely cause. A wrong item from an AI answer that you supply is logged with prompt, platform and time; we do not promise what any assistant will say.

How we know it’s done
Agreed with you before work starts. Each check produces evidence you keep.
The table holds a value for each of the 25 products, six facts and four places, or marks it "not available" with the reason.
Evidence: The 25 by 6 by 4 table.
In a copy of your data with 10 planted mismatches (price, stock, variant, return term), 5 planted by us and 5 by your named person and kept from us until the test run, all 10 are flagged; one missed mismatch fails the test (10 of 10 shows a true catch rate of at least 74% with 95% confidence; a smoke test).
Evidence: The planted list beside the table.
Each mismatch shows both values and its likely cause.
Evidence: The mismatch list.
Each wrong AI answer you supply is logged with prompt, platform and timestamp as the first observed mismatch.
Evidence: The AI-answer log, row by row.
Your named person checks 10 cells you pick against the live page and the exports, and all 10 match; one wrong value fails the test.
Evidence: The 10 cells beside the live page and the exports.
Sign-off. You re-run the acceptance checks with the steps we hand over, read the results and sign off in writing. Payment follows sign-off.
If it fails. If an agreed check fails, you do not pay for this fixed scope. We hand over what we found and agree whether to stop or re-quote; no surprise work.
When it fits, and when we stop
It fits when
- Your product pages are public
- You can send a read-only export of your feed and catalogue data
- A named person decides which place is right for each fact
- You can supply the wrong AI answers you want traced, if any
We stop and tell you if
- The aim is ranking or visibility in ChatGPT or other tools
- You want us to edit your store, feed or catalogue
- The feed and catalogue data cannot be exported at all
What could go wrong
The job works on copies of files you send and returns files and a report. Nothing in your store or helpdesk is changed by us, so there is nothing to undo. Our copies of your files are deleted when the job ends.
Scroll the table sideways to read it all.
| Risk | How we handle it |
|---|---|
| Values change on the day after the check. | The table states its date, and the steps let you re-run it. |
| A catalogue entry is read differently by each platform. | We report what each place holds, not what a tool will say. |
| The check is read as a promise about AI answers. | The page and the report both say it does not promise what any assistant will say. |
A separate automated reviewer checks the work and the test results before hand-over. Your named person decides which place is right for each fact and makes any change. No human supervisor from us is included unless your agreement names one, and at launch the work is largely automated.
How we deliver
We arrange the work and independent review, then show you the result against the agreed checks. You keep authority over your systems.
- Agree the 25 products, the six facts and the date
- Receive the feed and catalogue exports; read the public pages
- Build the 25 by 6 by 4 table and mark every difference
- Trace each mismatch to its source and log the AI answers
- Plant our 5 mismatches and your 5 sealed ones; confirm all 10 are flagged
- A separate automated reviewer checks it; hand over the table and log
This is a one-off job, not emergency cover or a subscription. We confirm eligibility, price, start window and delivery date in writing before you accept, and work starts only after the agreed inputs are in place. An enquiry creates no charge or booking.
Need to keep it working?
Discuss re-running the check each month for your top products.
Ongoing work is separately scoped and quoted: no monitoring, response-time guarantee or automatic subscription is included in this job.
Explore an ongoing managed lane, or mention the responsibility you need in your enquiry.
What you can check
This is a new service. We have not delivered this job for a client yet.
Other ways to get this done
- Check a handful of products by hand against the page and the feed once a month.
Questions
Can you make ChatGPT show my products?
No. We check that your own data agrees across the places it is read from.
Does this fix the mismatches?
No. It finds them and their causes. You or a fixing job correct them.
How often should I re-run it?
After any price, stock or policy change that affects these products. The steps are yours to re-run.
Does a pass mean it will be right next month?
No. A pass describes items like the test sample on the day of the test. It is not a promise about future items, and it does not replace your own checking.
Send an enquiry
Send us
- Which 25 products matter most
- Which feed and catalogue channels you use
- Any wrong AI answers you have seen, with the date and tool
- No store login
Later, once you agree
- Read-only exports of your feed and catalogue data through an agreed secure route
- The wrong AI answers, if any, with prompt, platform and date
- Five mismatches of your own choosing for the test, sealed until the test run
- The name of the person who decides which place is right
You keep your store, your helpdesk and every login. We work on the files you send through a secure route agreed after you say yes, and hand back files and a report. We never ask for store or helpdesk logins, and nothing goes live until your named person applies it.
