Job store-product-photos-on-white-background-checked-against-originals · revised 12 October 2026
Put your product photos on a clean white background, checked against the originals
Up to 100 product photos placed on a white background and checked by script that the product itself is unchanged and the size and shape match your spec, plus a scored sample.
You might be seeing
- Product images have different backgrounds and shadows
- A marketplace rejected images for the background
No passwords, keys, card details or admin invites needed to start.
What usually happened
Automatic background edits can quietly crop, pad or "improve" a product, worst on prints, sheer fabric and printed text. A photo that no longer shows the real product leads to returns. Without a pixel check on the product itself nobody can tell.
Who it’s for: Owner of a store whose supplier photos have mixed backgrounds and who wants a clean, consistent look without the product being altered.
Usually starts when: Your product grid looks uneven, a marketplace asks for white backgrounds, or editing each photo by hand is too slow.
The result: Up to 100 product photos are returned on a white background. A script checks that the product area is unchanged from the original, the background is pure white and the size and shape match your spec. Your reviewer scores a 30-image sample, and images that carry risk are left untouched and listed.

What you get
- The new image files
- The pixel-comparison report
- The outline file for each image
- List of images left untouched
- The sample scores
- Your size and background spec, written down
Included
- Up to 100 photos you send, one product per image
- A white background and the size and aspect ratio you specify
- A script comparing the product pixels inside an outline file we hand over with the original
- Risky images (prints, sheer fabric, printed text, transparent items) flagged and left untouched (at most one photo in ten; more means a re-quote)
- A scored sample of 30 images chosen by your reviewer
- New files returned; originals never overwritten
Not included
- Retouching, colour changes or adding shadows
- Images of people
- Overwriting your originals
- Uploading to your store
- Video or 3D
- More than 100 images without a quote
How we know it’s done
Agreed with you before work starts. Each check produces evidence you keep.
For every returned image, the product pixels inside the outline file we hand over match the original within a tolerance fixed in the quote, and your reviewer sees the outline over the original on the 30-image sample; one image whose outline cuts into the product fails the whole test.
Evidence: The pixel-comparison report and the outlines over the originals.
Every returned image has a pure white background and the size and ratio in your spec.
Evidence: A script check over all files.
Your reviewer scores a 30-image sample they choose; at least 27 of 30 are judged acceptable (a true rate of at least 76% with 95% confidence, if the 30 were drawn at random; your picks make it a guide).
Evidence: The sample and scores.
Every risky image is listed and its returned file is identical to the original. At least 90% of the photos are returned on white; if more are left untouched the job is re-quoted, not accepted.
Evidence: The untouched list and a file comparison.
Sign-off. You re-run the acceptance checks with the steps we hand over, read the results and sign off in writing. Payment follows sign-off.
If it fails. If an agreed check fails, you do not pay for this fixed scope. We hand over what we found and agree whether to stop or re-quote; no surprise work.
When it fits, and when we stop
It fits when
- You send the original photos through a secure route
- You give the size, aspect ratio and background spec
- A named reviewer scores 30 images they choose
- You accept that risky images are left untouched
We stop and tell you if
- The images show people or sensitive content
- You want the product retouched or changed
- Most images are prints, sheer fabric or text that cannot be checked reliably
What could go wrong
The job works on copies of files you send and returns files and a report. Nothing in your store or helpdesk is changed by us, so there is nothing to undo. Our copies of your files are deleted when the job ends.
Scroll the table sideways to read it all.
| Risk | How we handle it |
|---|---|
| The product is quietly altered. | A script compares the product area with the original, and a difference above the tolerance fails the image and the test. |
| Prints, sheer fabric or printed text are damaged. | Those images are flagged and left untouched. |
| The result is mistaken for a studio photo. | It is a background edit. Colour, shadows and detail stay as they were. |
A separate automated reviewer checks the work and the test results before hand-over. Your reviewer scores a sample and your named person uploads the files. No human supervisor from us is included unless your agreement names one, and at launch the work is largely automated.
How we deliver
We arrange the work and independent review, then show you the result against the agreed checks. You keep authority over your systems.
- Agree the spec, the risky-image rules and the sample
- Receive the original photos
- Place each product on the white background without touching it
- Compare the product area with the original; flag risky images
- Your reviewer scores 30 images; a separate automated reviewer checks the rest
- Hand over new files and reports; originals stay yours
This is a one-off job, not emergency cover or a subscription. We confirm eligibility, price, start window and delivery date in writing before you accept, and work starts only after the agreed inputs are in place. An enquiry creates no charge or booking.
Need to keep it working?
Discuss photo clean-up for each new batch of products.
Ongoing work is separately scoped and quoted: no monitoring, response-time guarantee or automatic subscription is included in this job.
Mention the responsibility you need in your enquiry.
What you can check
This is a new service. We have not delivered this job for a client yet.
Other ways to get this done
- Use the background-removal tool in your photo editor and check each image by eye.
- Ask your supplier for white-background images.
Questions
Will you change my product?
No. A script checks that the product area is the same as the original.
What about images with prints?
They are flagged and left alone.
Do you keep my photos?
We delete our copies when the job ends. Any copy a model provider holds follows the terms we name in writing before you send anything.
Does a pass mean it will be right next month?
No. A pass describes items like the test sample on the day of the test. It is not a promise about future items, and it does not replace your own checking.
Send an enquiry
Send us
- How many photos and what kind of products
- Your size, ratio and background spec
- Whether products have prints, text or transparent parts
- No store login
Later, once you agree
- The original photos through an agreed secure route
- Your reviewer's name
- Which images are most important to you
You keep your store, your helpdesk and every login. We work on the files you send through a secure route agreed after you say yes, and hand back files and a report. We never ask for store or helpdesk logins, and nothing goes live until your named person applies it.
