Job review-requests-sent-to-every-customer-no-gating · revised 12 October 2026
Ask every customer for a review the right way, with no screening
After each completed job or order, every eligible customer gets one identical request and at most one reminder. Nobody is screened by satisfaction and no incentive is offered.
You might be seeing
- Few reviews despite many jobs
- Staff ask only customers who seem pleased
No passwords, keys, card details or admin invites needed to start.
What usually happened
Review requests that ask only happy customers, offer a reward for a good rating or hide bad reviews can break the rules in the US and the UK, and break Google's own policy. Asking everyone the same way is allowed, but sending it by hand is patchy and sending it by a tool can slip into screening by satisfaction.
Who it’s for: Local service or small online business owner who wants more genuine reviews.
Usually starts when: Happy customers never leave reviews, and the owner is tempted to ask only the happy ones.
The result: After each completed job or order, every eligible customer gets one identical review request with at most one reminder. Nobody is screened by satisfaction, no incentive is offered, and a request is held while a complaint is open and sent once it is closed (never dropped), or not sent after an opt-out. Reply drafts, if you want them, are for a person to post.

How we know it’s done
Agreed with you before work starts. Each check produces evidence you keep.
In a test with happy, unhappy, complaint-open and opted-out customers, every customer who is not opted out and has no open complaint gets the same request and link.
Evidence: The test customers and the log.
A customer with an open complaint gets the same request within the agreed number of days after the complaint closes.
Evidence: The complaint-open test customer and the log.
A branch audit finds no condition based on sentiment or rating; the only holds are an open complaint (released on close) and an opt-out.
Evidence: The branch listing.
At most one reminder is sent, and an incentive-wording checklist passes.
Evidence: The log and the checklist.
The log reconciles to completed jobs in the test period.
Evidence: The count reconciliation.
Sign-off. You re-run the test yourself, check the list of severe errors and sign off in writing. Payment follows sign-off.
If it fails. If the agreed pass mark is not met, we say so, hand over the results and the failures, and do not call the output working. You do not pay for this scope; we agree whether to stop or re-quote.
When it fits, and when we stop
It fits when
- You send to all completed jobs or orders, not a chosen few
- A sending tool you own, with a test mode
- Without an approved Business Profile application and a profile verified for 60 days or more, a link-only flow is used
We stop and tell you if
- You want gating, any incentive for a review, staff reviews or removal of negative reviews
- You will not send to every eligible customer
- There is no complaint list to hold requests against
What could go wrong
You switch the flow off in one step. Requests already sent cannot be recalled.
Scroll the table sideways to read it all.
| Risk | How we handle it |
|---|---|
| The flow slips into screening | A branch audit finds no sentiment condition, and the matrix proves all eligible customers get the same request. |
| An incentive creeps into the wording | An incentive-wording checklist must pass. |
| Review-rule changes | The record dates the rules checked; this is not legal advice. |
A separate automated reviewer checks the matrix, the branches and the wording before hand-over, and no person on our side reviews unless your agreement names one. Your named person approves the wording and switches the flow on. At launch the work is largely automated, and we say so.
How we deliver
We arrange the work and independent review, then show you the result against the agreed checks. You keep authority over your systems.
- Agree the request wording, the reminder rule and the suppression lists
- Build the flow in test mode with the sending tool
- Test happy, unhappy, complaint-open and opted-out customers
- Audit every branch for any sentiment condition
- Independent automated review of the matrix, the wording and the log
- Hand over the flow; you switch it on
This is a one-off job, not a subscription or emergency cover. We confirm eligibility, price, a start window and a delivery date before you accept, and work starts only after agreed inputs and access are in place. Nothing is sent, merged, posted or changed in your live systems by us, and an enquiry creates no charge or booking.
Need to keep it working?
Discuss a monthly check that the flow still sends to every eligible customer.
Ongoing work is separately scoped and quoted: no monitoring, response-time guarantee or automatic subscription is included in this job.
Mention the responsibility you need in your enquiry.
What you can check
This is a new service. We have not delivered this job for a client yet.
Other ways to get this done
- Many shop and booking tools can send a review request after each order. Check that yours sends to everyone and has no rating screen.
Questions
Can I ask only happy customers?
No. Everyone eligible gets the same request.
Can I offer a discount for a review?
No. We build no incentive of any kind: Google bars incentive-based reviews, and the FTC bars any tied to sentiment.
Can you reply to reviews?
We can draft replies. A person posts them.
Send an enquiry
Send us
- How you record completed jobs or orders
- Where customers leave reviews today
- How you handle open complaints
Later, once you agree
- A job or order export and a sending tool in test mode
- The complaint and opt-out lists
- A secure handoff route agreed before any record is shared
You keep the CRM, the sending tool and the review account. We build and test in test mode, and you switch it on. Which service reads your records is agreed in writing before any real record is shared; the entry test uses invented or redacted data, or your own provider account.
