Job store-abandoned-checkout-email-drafts-checked · revised 12 October 2026
Draft three abandoned-checkout emails and check them for false urgency and broken links
Three abandoned-checkout emails drafted for your store and checked by script for invented urgency, discount rules and links, then run through five test checkouts on a test store.
You might be seeing
- Your checkout emails have never been read through end to end
- A template promises "only 2 left" for every product
No passwords, keys, card details or admin invites needed to start.
What usually happened
Abandoned-checkout emails reach people at the moment of doubt, so wording matters. Templates often add false urgency, offer discounts you did not approve or carry a broken cart link. A fixing job exists for emails that do not send; this one covers what the emails say and whether they work.
Who it’s for: Owner of a store whose abandoned-checkout emails are missing or badly worded, and who wants them written without pressure tricks.
Usually starts when: You are about to switch on abandoned-checkout emails, or your current ones were copied from a template and nobody checked them.
The result: You get three emails and plain-text versions, written for your store and checked by script for invented urgency or stock claims, unauthorised discounts, working links and an opt-out line. Five test checkouts on a test store each trigger all three emails with the right cart contents.

How we know it’s done
Agreed with you before work starts. Each check produces evidence you keep.
In five test checkouts on a test store, each triggers all three emails at the set delays with the right cart contents. The delays are shortened to minutes on the test store for the test, then restored.
Evidence: The five test logs.
Every link in every email resolves to the right cart or page on the test store.
Evidence: The link check output.
No email contains an urgency or stock claim that is not backed by a field you approved, and every email has an opt-out line; one invented claim fails the test.
Evidence: The script output.
No email offers a discount above your table.
Evidence: The emails beside your table.
Sign-off. You re-run the acceptance checks with the steps we hand over, read the results and sign off in writing. Payment follows sign-off.
If it fails. If an agreed check fails, you do not pay for this fixed scope. We hand over what we found and agree whether to stop or re-quote; no surprise work.
When it fits, and when we stop
It fits when
- Your platform has abandoned-checkout emails you can change
- A test store exists, owned by you
- You write the discount table, or choose none
- You handle consent for marketing emails yourself
We stop and tell you if
- You want emails sent to people who did not agree to receive them
- You want countdown or scarcity claims that are not true
- You want us to send the emails
- No test store can be made
What could go wrong
We change a test store or test account only. Nothing is switched on in your live store or helpdesk by us. Your named person applies the result and can switch it off again with the steps we hand over.
Scroll the table sideways to read it all.
| Risk | How we handle it |
|---|---|
| An email makes a claim that is not true. | A script lists every urgency or stock phrase, and none is allowed unless it comes from a real field you approve. |
| A discount goes out that you did not approve. | Emails use only your discount table. |
| Emails go to people who did not consent. | We send nothing. Consent is your decision and your adviser's. |
A separate automated reviewer checks the work and the test results before hand-over. Your named person approves the wording and switches the emails on. No human supervisor from us is included unless your agreement names one, and at launch the work is largely automated.
How we deliver
We arrange the work and independent review, then show you the result against the agreed checks. You keep authority over your systems.
- Agree your voice, delays and discount table
- Set up a test store with five test products
- Draft three emails and plain-text versions
- Check each for urgency phrases, links and the opt-out line
- Run five test checkouts; a separate automated reviewer checks the results
- Hand over drafts and apply steps for you to switch on
This is a one-off job, not emergency cover or a subscription. We confirm eligibility, price, start window and delivery date in writing before you accept, and work starts only after the agreed inputs are in place. An enquiry creates no charge or booking.
Need to keep it working?
Discuss testing the sequence again when you change discounts or platform.
Ongoing work is separately scoped and quoted: no monitoring, response-time guarantee or automatic subscription is included in this job.
Mention the responsibility you need in your enquiry.
What you can check
This is a new service. We have not delivered this job for a client yet.
Other ways to get this done
- Use the default templates in your platform and check them against a list of what to avoid.
- Ask your email tool's support for its recommended checkout sequence.
Questions
Do you send the emails?
No. We write and test them on a test store. You switch them on.
Is this legal advice?
No. Whether you may email these customers is for you and your adviser.
What if my emails do not send at all?
That is a fixing job, listed separately.
Does a pass mean it will be right next month?
No. A pass describes items like the test sample on the day of the test. It is not a promise about future items, and it does not replace your own checking.
Send an enquiry
Send us
- Which platform and email tool you use
- Your current wording, if any
- Whether you offer discounts and under what rules
- No customer data or store login
Later, once you agree
- A test store that you own
- A test login for that store, shared through the secure route
- Your brand voice notes and discount table
- The name of the person who approves the wording and applies the settings
You keep your store, your helpdesk and every live login, and we work on the files you send through a secure route agreed after you say yes, and hand back files and a report. We never ask for logins to your live store or helpdesk; for the test store we use a separate login that you create, share through that route and can revoke. Nothing goes live until your named person applies it.
