Draft help articles from your solved IT tickets, each step traced to a ticket

Eight to ten help articles drafted from your solved tickets, each step traced to a ticket line, scanned for personal data and followed step by step by a person on your side.

You might be seeing

  • Only one person knows how to fix the common problems
  • New staff ask the same questions as the last ones

No passwords, keys, card details or admin invites needed to start.

What usually happened

Solved tickets hold the answers, scattered across free-text notes that include names, devices and addresses. Writing them up takes time nobody has, and a tool that writes freely can add steps nobody took.

Who it’s for: IT lead whose team keeps solving the same problems and never writes the answer down.

Usually starts when: The same five requests come in every week and each is solved from scratch by whoever is on.

The result: From your solved tickets you receive eight to ten draft help articles. Every step traces to a line in a ticket, and a scan of every article finds no name, email address, password or internal host name; your IT lead also reads each article for any the scan missed. Someone on your side follows each article on a test account, and at least 80% of the articles delivered reach the end with no step guessed (8 of 10 if ten are delivered).

What you get

  • Eight to ten draft articles
  • The source line for each step
  • The personal-data scan result
  • The cold-read results

Included

  • Up to 300 redacted solved tickets
  • 8 to 10 articles on the problems that appear most often; if your tickets show fewer than 8 repeated problems, we say so before starting
  • A source line for every step
  • A scan for names, email addresses, passwords and internal host names, then a read of each article by your IT lead
  • A cold-read test of every article delivered

Not included

  • Publishing any article
  • Access to your helpdesk or knowledge base
  • Steps not found in a ticket
  • Screenshots of your live systems
  • Keeping articles up to date

How we know it’s done

Agreed with you before work starts. Each check produces evidence you keep.

  1. Every step in every article traces to a line in a ticket, and an article with an untraced step is returned as not passed.

Evidence: The source column for each article.

  2. A scan of every article for names, email addresses, passwords and internal host names finds nothing, and your IT lead reads each article for any the scan missed. A password or personal name left in any article fails the whole batch.

Evidence: The scan list, the zero count and your IT lead's read.

  3. Someone who did not write an article follows it on a test account (or reads it step by step if none exists, and we say which) and reaches the stated result with no step they had to guess, for at least 80% of the articles delivered (8 of 10 if ten are delivered). Every article is tested, so this is a count of the articles delivered, not an estimated rate.

Evidence: The cold-read notes for each article.

Sign-off. Your IT lead approves each article and signs off in writing. Nothing is published by us. Payment follows sign-off.

If it fails. If a test is not met, you do not pay for this fixed scope. We hand over what we found and agree whether to stop or re-quote; no surprise work.

When it fits, and when we stop

It fits when

  • Tickets include the steps taken to solve them
  • You redact tickets before sending
  • Someone on your side can follow each article on a test account, or read it step by step if none exists, and we say which
  • Your IT lead approves each article

We stop and tell you if

  • Tickets record only "fixed" with no steps
  • You want articles published without approval
  • Tickets cannot be redacted

What could go wrong

This job reads files you send and writes a report. It changes nothing in your systems, so there is nothing to revert. Our copies of your files are deleted when the job ends.

Scroll the table sideways to read it all.

RiskHow we handle it
An article contains a step nobody took. Each step must trace to a ticket line, and one untraced step fails that article.
An article exposes a name, password or internal address.A scan checks every article, and zero hits are required before hand-over.
Ticket text tries to steer the drafting tool.Ticket text is treated as data, and the work has no send, publish or login tools.

A separate automated reviewer checks every output against the agreed test before hand-over. No person on our side reviews unless your agreement names one. Your named IT lead approves what is used.

How we deliver

We arrange the work and independent review, then show you the result against the agreed checks. You keep authority over your systems.

  • Agree the problems, article format and scan rules
  • Group the redacted tickets by problem and pick the commonest eight to ten
  • Draft each article using only steps found in tickets
  • Mark every step with its ticket line; scan each article for personal data
  • Your IT lead reads each article for anything the scan missed
  • Someone on your side follows each article cold on a test account
  • Separate automated review, then hand over the drafts

This is a one-off job, not emergency cover or a subscription. We confirm eligibility, the total price, a start window and a delivery date before you accept, and an enquiry creates no charge or booking. Work starts only after agreed inputs, secure access and any needed permissions are in place.

Need to keep it working?

Discuss drafting further batches as new tickets are solved.

Ongoing work is separately scoped and quoted: no monitoring, response-time guarantee or automatic subscription is included in this job.

Mention the responsibility you need in your enquiry.

What you can check

This is a new service. We have not delivered this job for a client yet.

Other ways to get this done

  • Ask the person who solved each ticket to write three lines in the ticket as they close it. It costs nothing and the habit lasts.
  • Some helpdesks draft articles from tickets themselves; test yours on the same tickets.

Questions

Do you publish the articles?

No. You approve and publish them.

Can the draft add steps that sound right?

No. Each step must trace to a ticket line, and one that does not fails that article.

Will they stay current?

Not by themselves. Articles are drafts at one date.

Send an enquiry

Send us

  • Your helpdesk tool and roughly how many solved tickets you have
  • The problems that come up most often
  • Where articles should end up

Later, once you agree

  • Up to 300 redacted solved tickets through an agreed secure route
  • A test account or sandbox that stays with your person for the cold read
  • The name of the IT lead who approves
  • The agreement that names the model provider, its country and how long it keeps data, settled before any real personal data is shared

You keep the helpdesk and publish every article. We work from a redacted export and return drafts. Ticket text can include instructions written by anyone, so it is treated as data, and the work has no send or publish tools.

A public HTTPS link only, without login details, query strings or fragments. No code or logs.

Sending emails your enquiry and contact address to our team through our mail provider (Resend). It is not kept in a website database. Do not send passwords, keys, recovery links, confidential code or customer records. Your contact email is unverified; nothing is ordered, charged or reserved. Privacy notice.
