Standing service

Get a list of prices below their floor, stale bundles and left-on sale prices every week

Each week we read your price export, compare every price with its floor, and list products below it, bundles out of step with their parts and sale prices left on. We change no prices.

This starts a conversation by email. Nothing is charged, and nothing is checked, until we have agreed scope and terms with you in writing.

The responsibility you hand over

Prices drift below the floor between checks. A sale never ended, a component rose but its bundle did not, a bulk edit rounded down. The loss is small each day and large over a quarter, and a monthly look can be too late.

Who it’s for: Owner of a store that has price floors and edits prices often, by hand, by bulk import or through apps.

Usually starts when: A bulk edit or a sale left a price below cost for days before anyone noticed.

The result: Every week you receive a list of each product below its floor, each bundle whose price is out of step with its components and each sale price left on past its end date. Each list states the rows read, the floor version and counts that reconcile.

What stays true, and what we do about it

No response-time guarantee is published for this new service. A target for delivering each report is agreed in writing before it starts, set to what a service at this stage can keep.

Hours are agreed in writing before the service starts. At launch the service is not staffed round the clock and runs on the schedule we agree.

What must remain true

  • Every product in the weekly export is compared with its floor
  • Every breach is on that week's list, and no list leaves rows unchecked without saying so

What we watch

  • The weekly price export you send
  • The floor sheet at its current version
  • Cost changes you tell us about

WhenWhat we do
A product is below its floor. We list it with the price, the floor and the difference for you to decide.
A bundle price differs from the sum of its parts by more than the rule you set.We list the bundle and its parts.
You plan a bulk change. We point you to the bulk-edit dry-run job that compares before and after.
Linked job: Bulk edit dry run and rollback
You want floors for new products. We point you to the floor job that works them from your costs.
Linked job: Price floors and below-floor list

We do on our own

  • Read the export and compare it with the floors
  • Write the weekly list and the monthly note

We ask you first

  • Any change to a floor, margin or rule
  • Any request to add products beyond 300
  • Anything that needs store access

We escalate to you when

  • Many products fall below floor at once
  • The export changes shape or stops arriving
  • A cost change would move many floors

How you know it held. Each list states the rows read, the date range and the floor version, and you can recheck any three rows against your store.

How we keep it true

This service is never finished. Each period's report shows whether the thing it checks stayed true, and it continues until you end it.

  1. Set a minimum price for up to 300 products from your costs, and see which are below it Job Optional

A floor price for up to 300 products worked from your costs, fees, returns allowance and minimum margin, plus a checker that lists anything below its floor. We change no prices.

Bought separately, each time it is needed; not part of the monthly fee

The one-off job that works the floors from your costs and builds the checker.

  2. Make one bulk product change, by AI or by an app, safe to try and safe to undo Job Optional

A tested procedure and checking script so a bulk change is exported first, dry-run compared, applied in batches and restorable, proved on a copy with six planted bad edits.

Bought separately, each time it is needed; not part of the monthly fee

The one-off job that makes a bulk change safe to try and undo.

  3. Get a script that proposes price changes inside your floors, for you to approve Job Optional

A script and two trial weekly lists of price changes from your own rules, inside floors and caps enforced in code. It proposes only; you approve each change and nothing is applied for you.

Bought separately, each time it is needed; not part of the monthly fee

The one-off job that proposes price changes inside your floors.

What is included, and what is not

  • Weekly below-floor list
  • Counts and floor version
  • Monthly note
  • Updated floor sheet when you change a cost (up to 10 cost changes a month)

Included

  • Up to 300 products and bundles, from a weekly price export you send
  • Your floor sheet, kept at its current version
  • A weekly list: below floor, stale bundle, left-on sale price, rounding breach
  • Counts that reconcile: rows read equals flagged plus clear plus unchecked
  • A monthly note of what recurred and which floors changed

Not included

  • Changing any price in your store
  • Matching or following competitor prices
  • Setting your margin or costs
  • Tax or accounting advice
  • Marketplace repricing rules
  • Out-of-hours cover or a guaranteed response time

How we know it’s done

Agreed with you before work starts. Each check produces evidence you keep.

  1. In the first month we run the checker on a copy of your export with 10 breaches, 5 planted by us and 5 by your named person and kept from us until the first run, and the first list shows all 10 (10 of 10 shows a true catch rate of at least 74% with 95% confidence; a smoke test). One missed breach fails the test.

Evidence: The planted list beside the output.

  2. Each weekly list states rows read, the floor version, and counts that reconcile.

    Evidence: The weekly lists.

  3. No price in your store is changed by us.

Evidence: Your store's price history for the month.

Sign-off. You read each report and tell us whether the rules and thresholds still suit you. A period counts as delivered when you have the report.

If it fails. If we cannot complete a period because an input is missing or has changed shape, we say so, explain what we need and do not guess. If the service is not working for you, you can end it at the end of any month.

When it fits, and when we stop

It fits when

  • A floor sheet exists (from the floor job or your own)
  • You can send a price export each week without customer data
  • You give us the end date of each sale, or a list of sales that should have ended
  • You tell us when a cost changes so the floor can be updated
  • A named person acts on the list

We stop and tell you if

  • The aim is to follow or coordinate with competitors' prices
  • The price export stops arriving
  • You want prices changed for you

What could go wrong

The service reads what you send and reports. Nothing in your store or helpdesk is changed by us, so there is nothing to undo. Ending it leaves your systems as they are, and you keep every report we sent.

Scroll the table sideways to read it all.

RiskHow we handle it
A floor is out of date because a cost changed. You tell us of cost changes; each list states the floor version used.
The list is read as a pricing recommendation. It shows prices below your floors only and recommends no price.

A separate automated reviewer checks the work and the test results before hand-over. Your named person decides every price change. No human supervisor from us is included unless your agreement names one, and at launch the work is largely automated.

Stays with a person

  • You decide every price change
  • You approve any change to a floor

Access we would need

  • A weekly anonymised price export that you send

Questions

Does this set my prices?

No. It lists prices that are below your own floors. You decide.

Does it follow competitors?

No. It uses your own costs and floors only.

Does a clean report mean nothing is wrong?

No. It means nothing was found in the inputs you sent, by the checks listed here. It is not assurance, and it does not replace your own checking.

Send an enquiry

Send us

  • How you export prices and on which day
  • How many products and bundles
  • Where the floor sheet lives
  • No store login

Later, once you agree

  • The floor sheet and a weekly price export through an agreed secure route
  • A named person who acts on each list
  • Sale end dates, updated when you change a sale
  • Five breaches your named person plants in a copy of the first export, kept from us until the first run
  • Costs when they change

You keep your store, your helpdesk and every login. We work on the files you send through a secure route agreed after you say yes, and hand back files and a report. We never ask for store or helpdesk logins, and nothing goes live until your named person applies it.
