Managed lane
Keep our data jobs and AI steps checked every month, with a few bounded jobs included
For one team's data jobs and AI steps: up to two monthly checking services and up to two bounded jobs a month, one at a time. Proposed GBP 700 a month; timing and capacity by written proposal.
An enquiry starts a fit and scope conversation, not a contract, payment or reserved place. No logins, customer data or keys initially.
What the lane takes off your plate
Data work needs small, regular attention: checks that stay tuned, an AI step that is re-tested every month, and the odd tidy-up or fix. Buying each piece separately is slow, and leaving them undone means the next problem arrives as an emergency.
Who it’s for: Operations or analytics lead of a small team whose data jobs and AI steps need steady small care and one accountable monthly arrangement.
Usually starts when: Data jobs fail quietly, an AI step has no test, and nobody owns the small fixes that pile up.
The result: For one team, each month up to two of the listed checking services run and report, and up to two bounded jobs you choose from the list are delivered and accepted, each with its own test. A written summary shows what was checked, delivered and held.
What the lane is made of
Each job has agreed acceptance tests and an accept-or-revise decision. Two is a monthly ceiling, not a completion guarantee. The arrangement continues only under agreed renewal terms.
Every month, check our AI step still gets the same answers; flag a fall or shape change Standing service Optional
Each month the outputs of your golden set and 20 fresh rows you label are scored against the agreed floor, with a report of any fall and the rows that changed. You send the outputs; no live access.
Choose up to two at the start; their listed prices together are no more than GBP 250
Scores an AI step's outputs against its golden set each month.
Every month, review our data checks: retune noisy ones and propose missing ones Standing service Optional
Each month your check alerts are reviewed. Noisy checks are retuned and missing ones proposed, each change shown on a planted failure and recent history before you merge it.
Choose up to two at the start; their listed prices together are no more than GBP 250
Reviews alerts, retunes noisy checks and proposes missing ones.
Get each month's report commentary written, with every number proved from the tables Standing service Optional
Each month your report gains a short commentary where every figure comes from a computed table and a script proves it. Causes appear only if you supplied them in the reasons file.
Choose up to two at the start; their listed prices together are no more than GBP 250
Writes the monthly commentary with every number traced to a table.
Every month, tag new comments or tickets in my categories and show how well it agreed Standing service Optional
Each month new rows of free text are tagged with your labels, and 30 rows you label are used to report agreement and any change since last month. Stored decisions are reused.
Choose up to two at the start; their listed prices together are no more than GBP 250
Tags new text each month and reports agreement with your labels.
Get each month's supplier invoices into checked rows, with the doubtful ones listed Standing service Optional
Each month's batch of supplier invoice PDFs becomes header and line rows, or an exceptions list. A 20-invoice sample you label shows how it did, and arithmetic is checked on every invoice.
Choose up to two at the start; their listed prices together are no more than GBP 250
Turns each month's supplier invoices into checked rows.
Make our AI extraction step fail a test when a change pushes it below an agreed floor Job Optional
Your AI extraction or tagging step gets a 100-row labelled test set and a one-command test that fails when whole-record accuracy falls below an agreed floor or the output shape changes.
Within the two monthly items and the GBP 450 allowance
Builds the labelled test set whose outputs the drift check scores.
Add data checks to one table and show they would have caught your last bad load Job Optional
For one table, up to 15 checks in your tool's syntax, each shown to fire on a planted bad copy and stay quiet on 90 days of good history. The model sees only the schema, counts and ranges.
Within the two monthly items and the GBP 450 allowance
Get my supplier invoice PDFs into a spreadsheet, with the ones it is unsure about listed Job Optional
Each invoice in an agreed batch becomes header and line rows in your workbook, or lands on an exceptions list with the reason. Tested on invoices you labelled and we have not seen.
Within the two monthly items and the GBP 450 allowance
Match my customer list to my billing list even though the names are written differently Job Optional
Every company in list A is linked to one company in list B, or goes to a visible unsure or no-match list. Nothing is merged or deleted. False links and missed links are tested on pairs you label.
Within the two monthly items and the GBP 450 allowance
My supplier changed all its product codes: match the old ones to the new ones Job Optional
Each old product code maps to one new product, or to an unsure list, with the attributes that justify the link. Look-alike traps such as pack sizes are tested on a small sample you label.
Within the two monthly items and the GBP 450 allowance
Fill missing size, colour, material and pack columns for up to 20,000 products Job Optional
A product list or ERP export gets attribute columns filled only where the description states the value, else 'unknown', with the quoted words as evidence. Tested on products you labelled.
Within the two monthly items and the GBP 450 allowance
Put my uncategorised products into my category tree, with doubtful ones sent for review Job Optional
Each product gets one leaf category from your tree of up to 300, or goes to 'review'. Tested on products you labelled; categories not in your tree are never invented.
Within the two monthly items and the GBP 450 allowance
Sort my comments or tickets into my categories, and show the tags stay stable on a re-run Job Optional
Each row of comments or tickets gets one label from your list, or 'unsure'. Agreement with your labels and stability across runs are measured. Short descriptions: see the text-column job.
Within the two monthly items and the GBP 450 allowance
Add the paragraph of commentary to my monthly report, and prove every number in it Job Optional
Your existing report gains a short commentary where every figure is copied from a computed table and a script proves it. No cause is stated unless you supplied it.
Within the two monthly items and the GBP 450 allowance
Tell me when orders or refunds suddenly change, and which product or channel moved Job Optional
For up to five daily metrics, a script you run writes an alert when a value leaves its usual seasonal range, naming the products or channels behind it. Figures recompute; no cause is claimed.
Within the two monthly items and the GBP 450 allowance
Forecast next quarter's orders and show it beats repeating last year, or say it does not Job Optional
For one series or up to 50 SKUs, a forecast with an interval and a rolling backtest against naive and seasonal-naive methods. If ours is no better, you get that finding and the baseline forecast.
Within the two monthly items and the GBP 450 allowance
Let me ask my sales spreadsheet ten recurring questions and trust the answers Job Optional
Ten named questions become saved, checked queries on your export, each matching your hand-worked answer on the snapshots we tested. Rephrased questions go to the right query or are refused.
Within the two monthly items and the GBP 450 allowance
Write up what every table and column means, and mark what you could not know Job Optional
For up to 40 tables, each column gets a description, type and value summary. Every checkable claim is verified by query, and unknown meanings go on a question list for the owner.
Within the two monthly items and the GBP 450 allowance
Explain how this inherited workbook works, and test it by predicting its outputs Job Optional
One workbook gets a plain-English map of its inputs, steps, fixed numbers, outside links and assumptions, tested by predicting its outputs for five changed input sets. We change nothing.
Within the two monthly items and the GBP 450 allowance
When a nightly data job fails, send the on-call person the likely causes and a first check Job Optional
A note generator and a 10-entry runbook for your common failures, replayed on 20 past failures you labelled. Every note quotes the log lines it relies on and proposes only read-only checks.
Within the two monthly items and the GBP 450 allowance
When a data job fails, propose the fix as a pull request that I review and merge Job Optional
For a failed data job, a proposed fix arrives as a pull request on a branch, tested by replaying the failure on a copy. You review and merge. Nothing is changed in production.
Within the two monthly items and the GBP 450 allowance
When a supplier changes its file, tell me what changed and what to change in my import Job Optional
For one changed supplier file you get a note that classifies each change, such as a rename, split, truncation or encoding shift, and suggests the matching change to your import mapping.
Within the two monthly items and the GBP 450 allowance
Show me which files contain personal data before I use AI on them Job Optional
A script you run on your own computer lists files that look like they hold personal data, by path and type, never values. Recall is measured on a set we plant and a folder you plant. No guarantee.
Within the two monthly items and the GBP 450 allowance
Mask names, emails and phone numbers in my spreadsheet, and measure what was missed Job Optional
A script you run swaps names, emails and phone numbers for consistent tokens. Misses are measured on a set we plant and made-up details you add. Names are tried, not pass-marked. No guarantee.
Within the two monthly items and the GBP 450 allowance
Before we run AI over a million rows, tell me what it will cost and cap it Job Optional
A sampled cost estimate with a range, a per-job cap and a usage query that reproduces the billed credits, checked against a 1,000-row trial that you run in your own account.
Within the two monthly items and the GBP 450 allowance
Turn staff receipt photos into claim rows I can check, with the unreadable ones listed Job Optional
Each receipt image in a staff expense batch becomes a row of vendor, date, currency, total and tax, or an exception. Tested on receipts you labelled. It does not match a card statement.
Within the two monthly items and the GBP 450 allowance
Tidy the address column in my list into one format, with the doubtful rows listed Job Optional
Messy address text in a list becomes separate, consistently formatted columns, or goes to an unsure list. Tested on addresses you labelled. A postcode is never invented.
Within the two monthly items and the GBP 450 allowance
Turn customer order emails into order rows I can check, with the unclear ones listed Job Optional
Each order email in a batch becomes rows of item, quantity and delivery details for a person to check, or lands on an exceptions list. Tested on emails you labelled. No order is created.
Within the two monthly items and the GBP 450 allowance
Pull the key dates and reference numbers from legal and HR paperwork into a tracker Job Optional
For a folder of licences, certificates, notices and policy documents, a tracker of dates and reference numbers, each with the exact quote and page. Documents are identified by code, not by person.
Within the two monthly items and the GBP 450 allowance
Show where every number in one report comes from, and check each figure by query Job Optional
For one report with up to 15 figures, a map from each number back to its source tables and steps, with every figure recomputed from those sources by a query you can re-run.
Within the two monthly items and the GBP 450 allowance
Define our key numbers once so everyone, and any AI tool, gets the same answer Job Optional
Up to ten metrics are defined as code on one schema, with a 30-question set that reconciles to figures you sign off. Five planted questions outside the definitions must be refused.
A separately scoped project, not part of the monthly allowance.
Let staff ask the warehouse questions in plain English, with each answer's query shown Job Optional
A question tool over approved views of a read-only warehouse copy. Every answer shows its query and row count, out-of-scope questions are refused, and a question set you hold back tests it.
A separately scoped project, not part of the monthly allowance.
Build the reporting tables I have specified, and prove them against my control totals Job Optional
Up to three reporting tables, written as tested dbt models or SQL views from your written spec, each reconciling to control totals you sign off. Reviewed and merged by your team.
A separately scoped project, not part of the monthly allowance.
How an engagement works
One team, one active job at a time and at most two agreed bounded jobs a month, worth up to GBP 450 at their listed one-off prices. A job listed at GBP 395 is taken on its own inside that allowance. Two is a ceiling, not guaranteed completions, unlimited throughput or a fixed turnaround. Size, report dates, expected timing and monthly capacity are confirmed in writing; none is promised on this page.
How it starts
You send a description of your data jobs and AI steps, your backlog and your response to the proposed monthly price, without data or keys.
We confirm fit, the labelling effort on your side, who accepts jobs and who merges changes.
We agree the chosen services, the report dates, the job sizes, the timing, capacity, price and cancellation terms in writing.
Each month we send the reports, deliver the chosen jobs one at a time and send the summary.
Who decides what
You choose jobs, label samples and accept results. Your team runs and merges anything we propose.
Handover
Each accepted job arrives as files, scripts or a pull request with its test results and undo steps. Unfinished jobs are handed back with notes if the arrangement ends.
Sharing your product safely. Initial contact uses descriptions, public links and your backlog list. No data, logins or keys. Samples follow only after a secure handoff and written terms.
What is included, and what is not
- The monthly reports for the chosen services
- Each accepted job as files, scripts or a pull request with its test results
- A monthly summary of what was done and what is open
Included
- One team's data jobs, spreadsheets, reports or AI steps, with one named contact
- Up to two monthly checking services chosen from the list, with listed prices together no more than GBP 250
- Up to two bounded jobs a month, one active at a time. A bounded job is one listed outcome run at no more than its starting scope, and the two together are worth no more than GBP 450 at their listed one-off prices. A job listed at GBP 395 is taken on its own
- A written proposal that fixes the report dates, the expected timing of each job and the monthly capacity
- A written monthly summary of what was checked, delivered and held
Not included
- Running, hosting or merging anything in your live systems: your team does that
- Your production data, warehouse logins or provider keys
- Emergency or out-of-hours cover or any guaranteed response time
- Projects larger than a listed job's starting scope, which are quoted separately
- Decisions about people, or tax, legal or accounting advice
- A promise of accuracy, savings or time saved
How we know it’s done
Agreed with you before work starts. Each check produces evidence you keep.
Each month every chosen service delivers its report by the agreed date, and its figures can be recomputed from the files returned
Evidence: The monthly reports and your recomputation
Each delivered job meets the acceptance tests of the matching job and is accepted or sent back by you
Evidence: The job's test results and your recorded decision
Each month no more than two jobs were delivered or started, and their listed one-off prices add up to no more than GBP 450
Evidence: The monthly summary, listing each job with its listed price
No change, merge or run was made by us in your live systems, and no key or login was held by us
Evidence: Your own audit trail for the month
Sign-off. You read each report, accept or send back each job and read the monthly summary.
If it fails. A blocker is raised with a substitute job, revised timing or a stop. Work that does not meet its tests is not claimed as delivered. Billing for incomplete work is agreed before starting.
When it fits, and when we stop
It fits when
- A named person who chooses jobs, labels samples and accepts results
- Data for tests is redacted, synthetic or public, or the work runs on your own provider account
- A route to review and merge anything we propose
- For each AI step, a ground truth you can label, as the matching job requires
We stop and tell you if
- Nobody on your side can label samples or accept results
- The agreed jobs regularly exceed two a month or GBP 450 of listed prices, so we agree a different scope
- You want round-the-clock cover, or want us to run your live jobs
- The work needs personal data we cannot be given in redacted form
What could go wrong
We work on copies and samples. Each accepted job carries undo steps, and your team can reverse it as with any change. Ending the arrangement leaves your systems as they are.
Scroll the table sideways to read it all.
| Risk | How we handle it |
|---|---|
| The allowance is read as unlimited help | The proposal states two bounded jobs a month worth up to GBP 450 at listed prices, one active at a time; extra or larger work is quoted. |
| The labelling effort on your side is underestimated | Each service and job states the labels it needs and the minutes, and nothing starts until a named person agrees to provide them. |
| A monthly sample is small and misses a slow drift | Reports say plainly that a sample is a tripwire, and a fall below an agreed floor is raised with the evidence. |
| Customer or staff data reaches a model provider | Work runs on redacted, synthetic or public copies, or on your own provider account with a key you hold. The provider, its country and its retention terms are named in writing before any sharing. |
Each report and job is reviewed by a separate automated reviewer before it is sent, and a named person on your side labels samples and accepts results. No person on our side is included unless your proposal names one. At launch the work is largely automated, and we say so.
Stays with a person
- You accept every job and every report
- Your team runs and merges anything that touches a live system
Access we would need
- Redacted, synthetic or public samples you send by an agreed secure route
- Your labels for each month's samples
Questions
Is this an AI analyst on retainer?
No. It is a fixed set of monthly checks and up to two bounded jobs, each with its own test. There is no open-ended analysis.
Can I buy the parts separately?
Yes, every service and job listed is available on its own. The proposed price is set at the two caps (GBP 250 plus GBP 450); the parts you choose add up to between GBP 456 and GBP 692 for a full allowance. It buys one arrangement with report dates and monthly capacity confirmed in writing, not a discount.
Do you run my jobs or hold my keys?
No. We work on redacted samples and copies and return reports and pull requests. Your team runs and merges, and your keys stay with you.
What do I have to do each month?
Label the small samples the chosen services need, usually under an hour in all, and accept or send back the jobs.
What if I need more than two jobs a month?
Extra jobs are quoted separately, or we agree a different scope.

- A short description of the data jobs and AI steps you have
- The backlog of small checks and fixes you have in mind
- Who chooses and accepts jobs, and who merges changes
- Your response to the proposed monthly price
- No real records, personal data or credentials in the first enquiry
Later, once you agree
- Redacted or synthetic samples each month by an agreed secure route

- A named person to contact when a job is held
- A company-controlled secure handoff agreed before any sharing: no live keys, logins or customer records by ordinary email
You keep your data, your systems, your provider keys and every decision. We work on redacted copies and samples you send, return reports, files and pull requests, and your team runs and merges them.
